We have finally resumed our school trips to Japan this Spring!
For those interested, please email us at culturecenter@lijcc.org using the email address to which your LIJCC invoices are sent.

Our School Trips are made for small groups and has the option of custom itineraries. When planning the trip, we do our best to include most or all requested stops. We will also make all reservations for you (including hotels, restaurants, museums, etc.) and purchasing your plane tickets within a reasonable budget.

These school trips are the great ways to not only experience Japanese culture first hand but also test your Japanese language knowledge. But not to worry, if you are not proficient in Japanese our well trained staff will be with you from start to end to aid you.

A few things to note before planning:

  • Our school trips are open ONLY to students of our center and their family/friends, as it is required to learn the basics of the Japanese Language and manners/customs before going to Japan
  • We recommend starting to plan at least 6 months prior but bookings can wait until later (plane bookings should also be done 5 months in advance for good seats)
  • While all seasons are great, spring and fall may be best for first time travelers as winter can be very cold and transport can be hindered by heavy snow, and summer can be very hot and crowded
  • Many special locations such as the Ghibli Museum in Nagoya require reservations in advance and can have VERY competitive ticketing systems and cannot be guaranteed
  • For a fulfilling trip it’s recommended to plan for at least 10 to 20 days
  • A good starting point would be deciding who you will be traveling with, and what season or weeks you’d like to go. Then list any specific places you’d like to visit and for what purpose
  • Check your passport expiration date and renew as soon as possible if needed (issues may arise if your passport is within 3 months of expiring from your travel date)

Alongside our school trips are opportunities to teach in Japan or do a highschool exchange program.
