Ikebana (Japanese Traditional Flower Arrangement)
Ikebana is the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging, it emphasizes the harmony and balance between the floral materials, container, and the space they occupy. It is a meditative and contemplative practice that seeks to capture the essence of nature and bring beauty and serenity into the home or space. Ikebana has many different styles, and at our center we teach the SOGETSU style.
Students can get certificates after completion of every level from 1 – 5 and eventually earn a teaching license for the SOGETSU style.
Wednesdays from 10:30am and Sundays from 10:30am


Shodo (Japanese Traditional Calligraphy)
Shodo classes are Japanese calligraphy classes that teach students the art of traditional Japanese writing using brush and ink. Students learn different styles and techniques to create beautiful and expressive characters. It is also a form of meditation, with classes done in complete silence and requires great concentration and focus on each brush stroke.

Nihonbuyo (Japanese Traditional Dancing)
Nihonbuyo classes are traditional Japanese dance classes that focus on the art of movement, expression, and storytelling through dance. Students learn various dance forms, gestures, and techniques to perform beautiful and graceful movements.


How to wear Kimono
Learn all about how to properly wear a kimono including how to fit the under robe, where to tie each support string, where each kimono stitch should align and how to finish off the apparel with the OBI.
You may bring your own or borrow one of ours.
